Essi kimpimaki

Essi Kimpimaki work has a very playful feel and I really like her use of colour in this particular print. It could easily be made with only two colours as well. really lovely colour pallet used as well , complimentary colours that when overlapped can create similar colours.
  I really like how the print tells a narrative. With the elephant wondering through the forest , the person with there crown on their head and the look to be heading towards the house.

The mark making in this image too is so good, I love how different medias seem to have been used to create the patterns and this is evident from the line quality. The simplicity of the elephants, colour makes it stand out as well as the shapes, too makes the image easy to read and also allows for more detail in the background.

I would love to make and image like this and screen print it and I can easily do this by using koda trace and the different medias just need to be thick enough as to not let the light through when exposing it. I am going to go for it when I have a design that will work! and I will also use a wider verity of colour too !!!
