Tugboat Printshop.

There work is extremely well crafted , detailed , refined and aesthetically stunning.  These are wood cuts that are hand carved in order to retain the intricate and varying patterns. Also they have used a two colour printing process that consists of creating two blocks and one of them having the background colour on with small amount of detail( yellow) then the other with the rest of the detail on (black) , the lighter colour is then printed first and the darker then second over the top. This also creates the appears of a three colour print.
I feel really inspired by how detailed and how this process which is very similar to Lino printing can produce amazing results. Even though it would be very time consuming I really want to aim to produce a piece of work to this standard as this will help my print based practise and improve technique.
