Carnovsky are a duo based in Milan. and produce a mixture of works from wallpaper, fabrics and prints. Colour is a really key feature with in there images following a RGB format and experiment a lot with this to ensure that when printed the colours fit with the material they are on. But there prints ranged from large screen prints to tapestry The images used within the work are taken from reference but are reproduction of original engravings. But these engravings mixed with bright colours make the work contemporary and when printed creates more colours then where put through the screen.
I really like how colourful these works are and how the tones vary throughout. Even though it all looks hectic and mad it gives the viewer plenty to look at and decode , and the colour mixed with the varied lines creates pattens and shapes that in themselves as have strong visual aesthetic. This technique of printing with lighter colours and overlaying them with darker colours is something that I need to try and work with as I think that it could work with how detailed my work is and just give it that extra level of good visual aesthetic.
