Tsavala's work centres around a lot of shape and texture. The images are carefully composed by theses shapes and make for really effective piece of illustration. There is a certain dark and sedated mood to this image is particular. The blacks and blues give the darkness, but the minimalistic approach with a small person with a small house and a shed next to a tree, gives the illustration it sedated and still feel. The texture add to both mood features, it dose add some noise to a still image but it is not loud and overpowering. Textured shapes I think is a really nice techniques to use when creating images. It gives the images layers and depth, whist showing extra information about the image.
