- New York photographer Kathy Shorr.
- Shorr's aim was to photograph survivors of shooting and show there heroics.
- 'Everbody can be shot.'
- Some of the subjects where shot in :
- The gym
- shopping centre.
- home.
- cinemas
- church
- She agrees that it is a dark subject but ' there is an incredible amount of light.'
- The subjects wanted to be photographed in oder to help others.
- Shorr doesn't want to see the subjects or anyone who has been shot and lives as victims , they are survivors. And there action of getting up and carrying on are heroic.
- I find the patterns of the scars fascinating , they dose seem to be an element of beauty to the scaring on individuals stomach. However they are large , and some of the other injures create by the shot are life effecting ,at the same time they must be a constant reminder to the surviour of what happened, but this makes it all the more penitent and impactful.
