final bear poster evaluation.

The aspects that I am happy with in this final poster are:

• The techniques used, really bold, neat, effective finish.
• Each shape is consistent and the varying sizes contrasts well together. 
•  The character design of the bear is really nice.Keeping the same expression and body language  throughout adds a humours element. A grumpy who is just getting thrown about and doesn't really care what happens to him. 
• The colours could be slightly boring but , I think that they allowed me to add bolder details , for example the texture on the blown up bear.

Thing that I found difficult :

• Idea generation. Most of the initial ideas I came up with where over complicated.
• The layout was also hard to compose as I was working with set shapes, but changing the shape of the bear help with this.
•  In some places on the final poster I used gouache, and in part I think that this was a mistake for example on the propeller hat I over used the white and it looks messy.

 Things that I would develop further:

• Experimenting more with colour ,  maybe a lift yellow or light blue background. 
• Considering the layout more , it is squished a bit in the middle and could have used with being spread out more , make the text easier to read. 
• Type needs more development as well , not that easy to read which is a shame.

I feel happy with the way the poster has communicated and looks , but the main feed back from the crit was really good but most people liked the look more better then the concept.
