Development and roughs for editorial- studio brief 2

 experiments with trying to draw in a simple way.These animals, humans and trees that I drew have formed the basis for nine roughs.

The rough on the left is the first on I have decided to develop as a final one:

•  It has a simple concept but could be draw with detail and with block print, also it has the potential to be a very interesting image with a mixture of these.
•  When in the crit , the correct information was communicated and the key features that people like was the receptiveness of the trees compared to the more chaotic industrial scene.

The left is the one that is going to be finally developed.

•  more meed doing to this image the scale is going to have to be change to 20-10.5cm because none of the original ideas for that size worked as well as this one.
•  More needs to happen in the image. The correct information was communicated but something more needs to be down. e.g. he could be reading a book about trees and thinking of trees. 

I used a bit of gouache in this one just to see how certain parts would look in print (block colour) i think that this will work well especially the clouds and mountains?

This bottom idea is the going to be the final developed image.

•  Again I want this image to be repetitive , to give the image more impact  e.g.  enlarging the chimneys in the background and encasing the dead animals running along the bottom more.
•  Changing the shape of the trees and maybe have different animals at the top of the trees.

• Final images ,  need to experiment with other mediums more and colour but green will be colour that features as it relates to the article.
