This is an idea I had for the one of the postcards. I combined images of an anatomical etching of a man with a snake a poisoned spider in the man throat. The meaning behind this image is that the empress poisoned her nephew with arsenic. The snake is supost to represent her hold over him and the spider represents the poison. I really like the composition of this image and how it fits inside the red circle but I feel like it needs something more adding to it. Also one big mistake that I made was that I didn't think about the size of the image. The postcards are tiny and this piece was done in A2 paper and to shrink it down digitally would spoil the etching detail, so I need create the image within the correct format by recreate a smaller version using the photocopier to shrink the images down to fit the correct format.
