Development for editorial brief- studio brief 2

Trying and deciding weather I should add a background circle before overlaying it with detail. No I really don't think that this will work because it is very restricting in that colours that I can use over the top, I  tried lighter colours but it was still to think of a light green or a yellow would work over this. The shapes wouldn't be that bold unless they were in black but that would be boring. So the best route around this is to try and form the shape of the circle out of the trees and building that will be going on top of this.
